Scholarships
Some scholarships provide financial support for up to 4 years.  A bursary is a one off payment or instalments paid over 1-2 semesters.  You could be eligible for this type of support based on academic achievement or financial need.  It is important to check your preferred universities or other tertiary organisations for scholarship and bursary information and for application closing dates.  Each university website has an easy to follow link to provide you with relevant information.  Centrelink, and other organisations also offer some financial support.

The RSL Youth Development Program is powered by Bond University and is targeted at children of Defence Families.  Who can apply?  Applications are open to all Queensland school students and children of Defence Families who are currently completing Year 10 or 11 and have demonstrated success in one of the following categories:

• Academic achievement (inclusive of Arts, Music, Drama, Dance and Media)
• Sporting achievement
• Community Leadership and Civic Participation

Winners will receive grants of $2,500 and the top 10% of finalists will receive a $5,000 grant.  Recipients will also have an exclusive opportunity to apply for a scholarship worth 50% of tuition fees to study either a single or combined degree at Bond University at the completion of high school.
Applications are open until November 11 and must be submitted online at www.RSLyouth.com.au
