We look forward to celebrating the P-5 Grandparent’s Day Liturgy at 9am on Friday 21st October.  A note will go home to families shortly.

Invitation to Father’s Day Liturgy
Fathers Day.jpgFathers play a vital role in the lives of their children and families.  This coming Father’s Day, Sunday 4th September, we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families, and the ways they do this - both big and small. We also remember those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent eg grandfathers and uncles, brothers, cousins, teachers, priests and coaches. Students in P-5 will ask God to bless all of the Dads in our community at a liturgy on Friday 2nd September at 2:15pm in Goa. Parents and families are warmly invited to attend.  A note was sent home with P-5 students last week with full details.

The SVDP clothes drive is well underway.  Our Senior Social Justice and Action students along with our Magis Minis have created colourful and practical collection boxes for your donations.  They are located in GOA, student reception and the library, just to name a few.  So look in your cupboards, see what you don’t use and then wash and donate them to those who can benefit from your generosity.
This week we say a sad goodbye to Father Marty Larsen who has been our parish priest for the last two months.  Fr Marty will return to Stella Maris Parish at Maroochydore.  In his short time with us, Fr Marty has made a positive impact on our community.   It is often said that photos ‘tell a story’ so we have included a few photos that capture Fr Marty’s ability to relate to students of all ages. It would be remiss of us not to mention one of his catch phrases…….
Fr Marty (to the students): What’s up?
Students: THE ROOF!!
Thank you Fr Marty for your involvement at Xavier and we wish you all the best. You will be missed!
