 Kondari Mission Week Review 2016

Kondari Mission Week commenced at the College with the Feast Day of St Mary MacKillop. Students were able to wear red to celebrate this special day in honour of the patron saint of Kondari. The week was packed with activities and delicious food for students to enjoy - jelly cups, 3 leg races, power bands, donut eating, colouring-in competitions, the House relay challenge, hot dogs, skipping, tug-a- war, hot chips and the staff v student netball game.

While the emphasis of the week was fun, congratulations must go to :

  • the victorious Buthu student and Dirum staff relay teams
  • the QISSN girls who were convincing winners, 11-4
  • Lolly jar guessing competition winners – Phillipa Gray & Parker Worthington
  • Donut eating champion – Mitchell Bowers
  • Colouring – in and poster winners

Prep-Year 2: 1st Ruby Garcia & Ethan Wright

Highly Commended: Imogen Wilson & Linton Petersen

Year 3-4: 1st Hayley Norval & Koopah Nooroa

Highly Commended: Zaria Gale, Helena Orr & Noah Purser

Year 5-6: 1st Milly Airs

All money raised throughout the week is donated to Kondari charity, the St Vincent de Paul Society. As in previous years, all classes in the College are gathering food items for Vinnies hampers. Each PC and Junior class have been designated an item to bring in. These hampers make a huge difference to the lives of many people within the Fraser Coast and will be presented to the organisation in early September.

Thank you to the Xavier community for your participation in, and support of, Kondari Mission Week!
