Xavier Chemical Analysis Teams
Once again Xavier was represented by four teams at the RACI National Chemical Analysis Competition South East region event. This year students competed at the Queensland University of Technology venue. Students worked in teams of three and had the task of determining the concentration of an acid using titration techniques. The clowder of XCATs have been training for months for this event.

Team Uno were victorious, achieving a FIRST place at the competition and the best result from a Xavier team in the six years we have been attending the competition. Team Alpha’s fantastic effort was rewarded with THIRD place. Team Uno has qualified for the National finals which will involve a more complicated titration and will be held at the University of Queensland in October. They will be starting to train for this soon. We wish them all the very best for their preparation and the National FINALS competition.
